Instrutora Pavao
Jessica Carla de Lima-Moran AKA “Pavão,” has been a Capoeirista for 12 years, training and teaching under world-renowned Capoeira master, Mestre Boneco of CBLA. Instrutora Pavão teaches at the CBLA headquarters in Mid-City and at XTC Training Center in Northeast Los Angeles. In addition to teaching and performing with CBLA, she produces the group's annual International Capoeira Festival and works as the CBLA communications director. With her husband and teaching partner, Instrutor Chegado, she has written an educational play about Capoeira and is currently working with ALMA (Adolescents Learning Movement Arts) Vida teaching "at-risk" youth in economically challenged neighborhoods. Pavão is also a Regional Coordinator for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Summer Night Lights program, a project of the Gang Reduction Youth Development (GRYD) office.
