Mestre Boneco

 

Beto Simas AKA Mestre Boneco, co-founder of Capoeira Brasil, has been training the art of Capoeira for over 37 years and teaching for 29 years.   In 1999, he left a successful acting career on Brazilian television and moved to Los Angeles. He opened Capoeira Brasil’s North American headquarters (CBLA) and established Benção Brasil, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Capoeira to youth throughout Southern California.

 
Mestre Boneco has dedicated his entire life to the preservation and growth of Capoeira. His contribution to the art of Capoeira continues to grow. In addition to his work in Los Angeles, he travels the globe teaching workshops, seminars, and participating in Capoeira festivals. He supervises over 70 graduated instructors with programs all over South and North America, Australia, Europe, and Asia. Mestre Boneco's dedicated work in the arts, education, and cultural communities as well as in the athletic and entertainment industry has earned him international recognition.
